Tasks

  • Guide authors through the publishing process
  • Facilitate editorial board members
  • Monitor book budget
  • Coordinate peer review process
  • Update ERP system
  • Liaise between Desk Editing, Marketing, and Finance
  • Correspond with authors, journal editors, and series editors
  • Maintain publishing schedules
  • Assist Acquisitions Editors with book acquisitions
  • Review proposals and manuscripts
  • Develop proficiency with IT systems
  • Prepare book manuscripts for production
  • Proofread promotion texts and front matters
  • Organize ordering of gratis copies
  • Request and monitor payments
  • Coordinate marketing materials
  • Assist with conference planning and reports
  • Travel for conferences nationally and internationally
