Requirements

  • University degree (Master preferred)
  • 5–7 years of experience in insights & analytics, category management, or strategic marketing in FMCG, consumer health sectors, or market research agency
  • Fluency in German
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong experience with performance reporting tools (e.g., GfK, Nielsen, Power BI)
  • Ability to transform complex data into clear recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Good awareness of Power BI and other data visualization tools
  • Solid understanding of research methodologies
  • Shopper/consumer insight generation
  • Category analysis
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in matrix organizations
  • Experience managing research budgets
  • Experience with local supplier relationships
  • Willingness to relocate to Hamburg
  • Full availability for in-person collaboration

Tasks

  • Drive category and commercial performance in the DACH region
  • Provide data-driven insights and decision-making support
  • Act as the primary insights partner to the DACH Commercial Leader
  • Connect performance tracking with consumer understanding
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops for the commercial team
  • Coach local teams on integrating insights into business strategies
  • Lead performance reporting using tools like GfK and Nielsen
  • Identify market trends and support trade story development
  • Manage escalation of tool or data issues as needed
  • Oversee end-to-end research initiatives from scoping to delivery
  • Translate research findings into timely business decisions
  • Close consumer and shopper knowledge gaps through research
  • Share insights via factbooks and activation moments
  • Support retail and channel strategy development with data
  • Assist in zone-level initiatives like performance reviews
  • Scale best practices from other zones
  • Ensure knowledge is uploaded in platforms like Eureka
  • Manage insights budget and local supplier relationships
  • Prioritize and govern data input execution
