Requirements
- •Deep experience in privacy, security, and AI laws
- •Strong understanding of GDPR, LGPD, APAC privacy laws, and other global privacy laws
- •Experience building privacy programs from the ground up
- •First-hand experience of privacy regulatory investigations, incident response management, and breach reporting
- •Excitement about mastering new areas of law and tech, particularly cryptocurrencies
- •Excellent legal and business judgment and strategic thinking
- •Effective communication with stakeholders on complex issues
- •Detail-oriented, business-friendly, and a team player
- •Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- •Ability to operate as a player coach and support a collaborative team
- •Excellent academic credentials
- •A sense of humor
- •JD degree from an accredited university
- •Active membership in at least one state bar
- •15+ years of experience practicing law
- •10+ years experience across product, IP, marketing, and other legal disciplines
- •Experience leading in-house product legal teams
- •Fluency in English
- •Based in either San Francisco or Munich
- •In-house counsel experience with a multinational corporation, preferably in the technology sector
- •Experience in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency a plus
- •Ability to communicate in other key languages

- •Co-architect the legal function
- •Collaborate with legal leads on strategy
- •Lead the Privacy Legal team
- •Provide legal guidance on privacy, security, and AI
- •Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations
- •Develop and maintain a global privacy program
- •Conduct training, auditing, and reporting
- •Establish relationships with regulatory and industry groups
- •Oversee responses to privacy-related regulatory investigations
- •Work with legal experts to ensure compliance
- •Act as legal point of contact for the Information Security team
- •Develop innovative processes to support privacy initiatives
- •Stay updated on legal trends in the tech industry
- •Provide thought leadership within the legal team
- •Collaborate positively with team members
- •Inspire and empower the Privacy team
