Business Development Manager – Data Center Segment Germany(m/w/x)
Developing transformer business opportunities for data centers in Germany. 5+ years of business development experience in infrastructure industries required. Electric company car for private use.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Segment Management, ideally within Data Centers, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, or related infrastructure industries
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, transformer applications, and large infrastructure investments
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage confidently at C‑level
- Proven capability to develop and implement business development strategies for high‑value capital projects
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross‑functional and matrix environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Fluency in German and English
- Experience with CRM systems, opportunity management, and performance metrics
Tasks
- Develop and execute business development and sales channel strategy
- Own end-to-end development of transformer-related business opportunities
- Identify new market opportunities, customers, and applications
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Global Segment teams
- Plan and monitor Marketing and Business Development initiatives
- Act as key interface for hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and EPC partners
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and support strategic pipeline growth
- Track opportunities and performance using CRM tools and KPIs
