Requirements

  • 5+ years in Banking Ops, Payments Ops, Finance/Accounting Ops, Treasury Ops, or similar, ideally within a regulated environment
  • End-to-end payment execution experience, including exception handling
  • Hands-on daily reconciliations, structured break analysis, and root-cause resolution
  • Confidence with double-entry applied to bank flows, clearing accounts, balancing logic, and cut-offs
  • High accuracy and detail-oriented documentation, dependable, consistent evidence quality
  • Ability to explain and reason through payment flows from initiation to booking and reconciliation
  • Reliable in daily critical processes, structured execution, comfortable translating operational needs to Product/Engineering, driving continuous improvement
  • Leadership/mentoring experience, enjoy helping others raise bar

  • Work through rejects, returns, and failed payments
  • Track and follow through on payment issues
  • Run daily bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal systems
  • Investigate and fix breaks
  • Ensure ledger-accurate double-entry postings
  • Perform and validate bank-related bookings
  • Maintain traceable bookings
  • Strengthen processes and controls
  • Improve SOPs, checklists, and evidence standards
  • Reduce risk and manual work
  • Partner with Product and Engineering
  • Turn operational needs into tooling improvements
  • Enhance reporting and reconciliation logic
  • Improve payment tooling
  • Implement alerting and monitoring systems
