Area Data Center Security Operations Lead(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Strong operational knowledge of Electronic Security Systems, vendor management, and guard force organization

- Capability to coordinate with vendors or internal IT for basic troubleshooting and system maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-national teams and manage international operations
- Knowledge of basic compliance standards and physical security regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a security management team
- 7+ years’ experience in physical security industry or equivalent (military, law enforcement), or 3 years’ minimum experience in corporate physical security
- 4+ years of direct experience in job description and competencies/skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
- CPP and PSP certification (preferred)
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Existing national security clearances (preferred)
- Maintenance of relevant security clearances
- Participation in new clearance processes if enacted
- International travel quarterly (up to 5 trips/year or as operationally required)
Tasks
- Supervise daily physical security operations.
- Ensure alignment with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Data Center Management and Services.
- Engage with Lines of Business and market units.
- Coordinate contracted security personnel activities.
- Monitor vendor scheduling, compliance, and performance.
- Implement and maintain the Building Security Operations Manual.
- Ensure alignment with regional and global policies.
- Execute site access control procedures.
- Manage badge control and visitor protocols.
- Conduct recurrent access control audits.
- Perform routine site inspections and audits.
- Conduct physical security system checks.
- Represent GPS in cross-functional projects.
- Collaborate with DCM, DCS, and external stakeholders.
- Project manage electronic security system installations.
- Oversee electronic security system maintenance.
- Report technical issues to vendors or IT.
- Manage on-site physical security incidents.
- Report and escalate security incidents.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders.
- Conduct security risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports.
- Document access, incidents, and daily operations.
- Train and onboard security staff.
- Educate data center personnel on security policies.
- Support local audit and compliance inspections.
- Ensure adherence to security standards.
- Implement corrective action plans.
- Participate in emergency drill design.
- Collaborate on business continuity exercises.
- Serve as first point of contact for security.
- Represent security in local operational meetings.
- Maintain required security clearances.
- Participate in new clearance processes.
