As an Applied Research Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in NLP, ML, and DL to create innovative tools that enhance writing. Your work will directly impact millions of users, shaping the future of product offerings.

Requirements

• •Strong theoretical foundation in ML/DL algorithms and methodologies
• •Minimum 6–7 years of industry experience in researching and developing ML/DL technologies
• •Additional 4–5 years of research experience in an academic environment or PhD
• •Deep experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• •Proven track record of applying ML/DL algorithms effectively to NLP tasks
• •Strong research mentality with a math-oriented mindset and ability to innovate
• •Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Python
• •Demonstrated ability to translate research into scalable, production-ready solutions
• •Excellent command of spoken and written English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Tasks

• •Develop state-of-the-art tools for enhancing written English
• •Utilize NLP, ML, and DL technologies in product development
• •Productize and ship features for Grammarly's offerings
• •Stay updated on research trends to improve products
• •Contribute to the company's research strategy and technical culture
• •Attract industry professionals to build a top-tier research team
• •Participate in ideation and define solution approaches
