Requirements
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of radar system performance, near-field challenges, multipath reflections, and high-resolution processing
- Proven experience developing low-speed ADAS functions (e.g., Park Assist, AEB for Pedestrians/Rear)
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for processing large datasets and extracting performance KPIs
- Ability to translate customer pain points into technical radar specifications
Tasks
- Drive technical roadmap for radar-based parking functions
- Develop and optimize Detect OIT algorithms
- Ensure high-confidence detection of small obstacles
- Define requirements for radar point cloud density
- Support advanced parking features like Automated Parking Assist
- Lead technical presentations and live vehicle demos
- Collaborate with Ultrasonic and Vision teams
- Define radar’s role in multi-sensor fusion architectures
- Analyze competitor parking solutions
- Identify gaps in competitor performance
- Maintain Valeo’s industry benchmark for low-speed maneuvering
