Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of radar system performance, near-field challenges, multipath reflections, and high-resolution processing
  • Proven experience developing low-speed ADAS functions (e.g., Park Assist, AEB for Pedestrians/Rear)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for processing large datasets and extracting performance KPIs
  • Ability to translate customer pain points into technical radar specifications

Tasks

  • Drive technical roadmap for radar-based parking functions
  • Develop and optimize Detect OIT algorithms
  • Ensure high-confidence detection of small obstacles
  • Define requirements for radar point cloud density
  • Support advanced parking features like Automated Parking Assist
  • Lead technical presentations and live vehicle demos
  • Collaborate with Ultrasonic and Vision teams
  • Define radar’s role in multi-sensor fusion architectures
  • Analyze competitor parking solutions
  • Identify gaps in competitor performance
  • Maintain Valeo’s industry benchmark for low-speed maneuvering
