Requirements
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Experience in rotorcraft flight mechanics
- Proficiency in FlightLab
- Strong understanding of static and dynamic stability, control ranges, handling qualities, and model correlation with flight-test data
- Basic scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Java or similar)
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts
- Ability to capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects
- Project-management experience in aerospace or engineering environment
- Experience with other rotorcraft flight-mechanics codes (e.g., CAMRAD) is beneficial
- Authorization to work in Germany
- Value potential, curiosity, and willingness to learn
Tasks
- Lead flight-mechanics projects
- Ensure alignment with project definitions and aviation regulations
- Own aircraft-level flight mechanics specifications
- Develop and maintain flight-mechanics prediction models
- Execute analyses for static/dynamic stability and control ranges
- Validate and justify analytical models in compliance with procedures
- Perform rotorcraft flight-mechanics analyses
- Provide clear findings and recommendations
- Prepare technical specifications and certification documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and tools
