Aircraft Mechanic 2 Sheetmetal - A&P or FCC License(m/w/x)

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
• FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3
• FAA (A&P) required with at least two years aviation maintenance experience
• Experience within the five most recent years
• FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 and three years aviation maintenance experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
• Interim NACI approval required for deployment
• Valid US Passport required for deployment to Germany
• TESA approval qualification with five years aviation maintenance experience
• Travel as required in support of task order
• Experience to inspect, replace, modify, or repair aeronautical type maintenance
• Skill in reading, applying, and interpreting technical data
• Ability to use common hand tools and measuring devices
• Knowledge of aircraft construction features and aerospace materials
• Ability to provide technical assistance in aircraft structural maintenance
• Knowledge of quality, production, and supply processes
• Experience operating basic sheet metal shop equipment
• Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch
• Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
• Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide

Tasks

• Assemble structural parts and components
• Perform structural repairs and modifications
• Apply corrosion protection treatments
• Use jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds
• Operate metalworking equipment and tools
• Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions
• Disassemble components to identify issues
• Adjust, repair, realign, or replace defective parts
• Incorporate authorized modifications
• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment
• Assess damage to aircraft structures
• Check repairs for serviceability
• Treat corrosion using mechanical and chemical methods
• Store and dispose of hazardous materials properly
• Maintain maintenance and inspection records
• Input and analyze data in automated systems
• Clear and close out maintenance discrepancies
• Recommend improvements for equipment performance
• Prepare aircraft maintenance forms and records
• Perform additional duties as required
