Requirements
- •Valid FAA A&P certificate
- •Seven or more years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic on Army C-12 / King Air and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation
- •Extensive hands-on Aviation Sheet metal/Structures experience
- •High school diploma or GED equivalent
- •Minimum of seven years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic on Army C-12 / King Air and/or UC-35 Citation
- •Completion of formal maintenance training on assigned aircraft or civilian equivalent training
- •Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance on assigned aircraft
- •Prefer six months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience
- •Mechanic tools required; must provide own tools and toolbox
- •Valid US Passport required for deployment to Germany
- •Ability to obtain and maintain US Govt Secret Security Clearance
- •Ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods
- •Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands
- •Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity
- •May be required to carry, push or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds
- •May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet
- •May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges
- •Ability to type using a standard keyboard
- •Must have minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20
- •May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools
- •May be required to respond to extreme weather conditions
- •Must be able to travel to and between remote locations

- •Ensure airworthiness of aircraft
- •Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using technical data
- •Repair or replace faulty components
- •Operationally check repaired or modified systems
- •Perform quality maintenance in accordance with regulations
- •Repair and replace aircraft structures like wings and fuselage
- •Use hand tools, power tools, and machines for repairs
- •Read and interpret maintenance manuals and service bulletins
- •Examine engines for oil leaks and diagnose malfunctions
- •Inspect turbine blades for cracks or breaks
- •Test engine operation using diagnostic test equipment
- •Replace or repair worn or damaged components
- •Remove and install engines from aircraft
- •Disassemble and inspect parts for wear or defects
- •Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassemble engines
- •Service aircraft by flushing crankcase and cleaning screens
- •Check brakes and grease moving parts
- •Service engines and airframe components at line station
- •Specialize in repair and modification of spare parts
- •Perform other qualified duties as assigned
