Requirements
- Study in computer science, mathematics, or related field; ML focus, ideally computer vision
- Solid ML knowledge
- Familiarity with neural network architectures (vision transformers, CNNs)
- Familiarity with basic ML concepts (classification, hyperparameter optimization, fine-tuning, model evaluation)
- Solid Python knowledge (mandatory)
- Advantageous: independent implementation of scientific methods
- Advantageous: cybersecurity knowledge and experience
- Willingness to face new challenges
- Strong analytical thinking
Tasks
- Implement computer vision for visual age estimation
- Perform object detection using YOLO and RT-DETRv2
- Classify images with Transformers, CNNs, and GNNs
- Perform image captioning using vision-language models
- Answer visual questions with vision-language models
- Conduct multimodal search using vision-language models
- Perform image segmentation using SAM-3 and DINO-3
- Develop interactive and explainable classification systems
- Clean, prepare, split, and visualize data
- Crawl and scrape data when necessary
- Implement ML methods like hyperparameter optimization
- Apply binary, multi-class, and multi-label classification
- Utilize ensemble methods for machine learning
- Evaluate and benchmark ML models with standardized metrics
- Perform functional tests for machine learning models
- Develop UIs and web apps using common frameworks
- Collaborate on publicly funded and industry projects
