In this role, you will drive the Responsible Renewables Infrastructure initiative, collaborating with leaders to shape strategic direction, manage projects, and engage partners in the ocean energy ecosystem. Your work will involve developing impactful communications, organizing events, and staying updated on industry trends to foster collaboration and drive sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• •Advanced university degree in a relevant field
• •5+ years of relevant professional experience
• •Knowledge of energy or related sectors
• •Understanding of key organizations in the energy space
• •Capacity for critical thinking and strategy development
• •High level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages
• •Collaboration and interpersonal skills
• •Proactivity and solution-oriented mindset

Tasks

• •Collaborate with the Ocean Industries Lead and Energy Initiatives Lead to set strategic direction for the RRI initiative
• •Develop workplans and roadmaps, tracking timelines to ensure delivery within scope and budget
• •Monitor progress against milestones, flagging risks or delays and managing impact measurement and donor reporting
• •Organize and facilitate project team meetings, synthesizing inputs and ensuring clear follow-up on actions and deadlines
• •Contribute to knowledge products, briefing notes, presentations, and thought leadership outputs on renewable energy and ocean economy
• •Stay informed on industry trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies in ocean and renewable energy
• •Engage and mobilize key Forum partners and prospective partners in the ocean energy ecosystem
• •Explore partnership opportunities with organizations active in ocean energy and nature-positive development
• •Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to support collaboration for systems-level impact
• •Manage partner and member databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
• •Design and deliver programme-related events, including virtual convenings, workshops, and in-person meetings
• •Identify opportunities to position the initiative at global and regional sustainability, energy, and ocean events
• •Coordinate across related Forum initiatives to identify joint programming and shared event opportunities
• •Ensure effective delivery and documentation of events by managing logistics and using digital tools
• •Collaborate with Communications Leads to build a strong narrative for the initiative and identify impactful communication opportunities
• •Update websites, factsheets, and other communication materials
• •Track communications outputs and engagement metrics for impact assessment and donor reporting
