Description

In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing financial sustainability for health initiatives by collaborating with teams and stakeholders to develop strategies, provide technical support, and implement innovative financing solutions. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness of health responses to HIV, TB, and malaria across various countries.

Requirements

• •Advanced University Degree in economics, health economics, health policy and planning, public health, development studies, or a relevant field
• •Strong experience in health finance, expenditure tracking, public financing, sustainability and transition, development finance, health finance reforms or related technical fields
• •Demonstrated experience supporting implementation of development financing in global health or development fields
• •Demonstrated experience providing high-quality technical support to stakeholders in development finance initiatives
• •Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain strong coordination in a complex environment
• •In-country experience in global health or development finance
• •Specific experience in health economics, sustainability, costing analysis, Results Based Financing, health financing schemes, resource tracking, fiscal decentralization
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• •Minimum of 4-6 years of demonstrated experience in health finance, expenditure tracking, public financing, development of health, financial sustainability, health finance reforms
• •Experience with management or support of implementation for Global Fund grants or comparable development initiatives

Tasks

• •Support development of financial sustainability and transition roadmaps
• •Collaborate with Country Teams and stakeholders on financial planning
• •Provide technical support on health finance and sustainability
• •Advise on co-financing commitments and Global Fund grants
• •Contribute to internal reviews of health finance portfolios
• •Implement domestic financing advocacy priorities
• •Oversee technical assistance assignments and deliverables
• •Identify and develop innovative financing mechanisms
• •Analyze strategic data for health finance developments
• •Coordinate with Health Finance stakeholders and teams
• •Engage with countries and teams for financial sustainability support
• •Define programmatic priorities for technical support
• •Mitigate health finance-related risks in the portfolio
• •Represent the Global Fund in external engagements
• •Support regional priorities as identified by management
