Requirements
- Experience designing and developing Python libraries and services
- Experience designing and developing web back-ends (REST APIs)
- Experience operating and troubleshooting containerized applications
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of networking and modern web application architectures (advantageous)
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- University degree required
- PhD not eligible
Tasks
- Develop and maintain Python services and libraries
- Support DevOps-related activities
- Ensure reliable operation of infrastructure
- Maintain DevOps environment
- Manage local development setups
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Configure and maintain application deployments
- Act as main contact with infrastructure teams
- Contribute to product development during Scrum sprints
- Address operational issues
- Maintain Bash and Python scripts
- Maintain Docker and Docker Compose setups
- Create and maintain GitLab CI pipelines
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes and Helm charts
- Investigate and resolve development environment issues
- Investigate and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues
- Investigate and resolve application deployment issues
