- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- More than 2 years direct sales experience
- More than 2 years sales management experience
- Knowledge of rail rolling stock market
- Knowledge of rail customers (OEMs, operators, leasing companies)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Fluent written and spoken French
- Other languages are an advantage
- Experience in business development
- Experience in account management
- Experience in cross-selling across systems, solutions, products, services
- Understanding of offer preparation
- Understanding of contract negotiation
- Understanding of risk management
- Understanding of commercial and legal terms
- Frequent interaction with rail customers
- Frequent interaction with HITACHI Energy European Front-End-Sales Team
Tasks
- Support sales team and customers throughout the sales process
- Develop new and existing business by increasing product and market knowledge
- Prepare technical offers according to unit portfolio and customer needs
- Clarify technical and commercial aspects of offers
- Participate in sales strategy discussions
- Assign short- and long-term sales goals
- Negotiate product group sales budgets and marketing plans
- Identify customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis
- Ensure efficient marketing actions and communications
- Demonstrate value proposition of products, systems, services, and packages
- Support sales organization in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
- Provide technical support, product presentations, and training
- Take ownership of specific customer cases
- Ensure efficient customer issue resolution
- Analyze root causes of lost proposals to increase future competitiveness
- Perform sales performance reviews
- Propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls
- Provide regular sales activity reports for production planning
- Adhere to core values of safety and integrity
- Take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business
