Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • More than 2 years direct sales experience
  • More than 2 years sales management experience
  • Knowledge of rail rolling stock market
  • Knowledge of rail customers (OEMs, operators, leasing companies)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Fluent written and spoken French
  • Other languages are an advantage
  • Experience in business development
  • Experience in account management
  • Experience in cross-selling across systems, solutions, products, services
  • Understanding of offer preparation
  • Understanding of contract negotiation
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Understanding of commercial and legal terms
  • Frequent interaction with rail customers
  • Frequent interaction with HITACHI Energy European Front-End-Sales Team

Tasks

  • Support sales team and customers throughout the sales process
  • Develop new and existing business by increasing product and market knowledge
  • Prepare technical offers according to unit portfolio and customer needs
  • Clarify technical and commercial aspects of offers
  • Participate in sales strategy discussions
  • Assign short- and long-term sales goals
  • Negotiate product group sales budgets and marketing plans
  • Identify customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis
  • Ensure efficient marketing actions and communications
  • Demonstrate value proposition of products, systems, services, and packages
  • Support sales organization in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide technical support, product presentations, and training
  • Take ownership of specific customer cases
  • Ensure efficient customer issue resolution
  • Analyze root causes of lost proposals to increase future competitiveness
  • Perform sales performance reviews
  • Propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls
  • Provide regular sales activity reports for production planning
  • Adhere to core values of safety and integrity
  • Take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business
