- Coordinate programme activities with WMO technical teams
- Engage GWP Network in global climate and hydrological initiatives
- Support Hydrological Status and Outlook System (HydroSOS)
- Support Early Warnings for All Initiative
- Support Global Hydrometry Support Facility (HydroHub)
- Support World Water Data Initiative
- Support Global Framework for Climate Services
- Support Alliance for Hydromet Development

- Ensure effective information exchange between GWP Network and WMO programmes
- Represent GWPO in Geneva-based international forums

- Mobilize partnerships and resources for climate resilience initiatives
