Senior Staff Field Applications Engineer(m/w/x)
Driving automotive E/E and IVI design-ins for embedded semiconductor solutions. Minimum 10 years of related experience required. Remote work option, flexible hours.
Requirements

- Minimum 10 years related work experience
- 5+ years experience in E/E and IVI applications
- Experience in HW/SW development of automotive applications
- Experience at Automotive Tier-1s or OEMs preferable
- Understanding automotive system technical requirements
- Proposing optimized products and solutions
- Profound knowledge about semiconductors (SoC, MCU, Analog & Power)
- Good understanding of automotive communication interfaces
- Experience in Functional Safety and Cybersecurity preferable
- Motivation to initiate and drive projects
- Openness to working in an international environment
- Basic knowledge of development and manufacturing costs
- Leadership skills for project direction
- Ability to negotiate optimal solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent English skills
Tasks
- Drive design-in activities for automotive product portfolio in E/E and IVI applications
- Define new products with customer engineering teams and internal marketing teams
- Consult customers on development of automotive applications, focusing on OEMs
- Derive customer system requirements and market trends for system value propositions
- Understand ADAS/AD product architectures and partner ecosystems to guide optimal system design
- Manage projects with Sales and Marketing to meet design-in targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering departments, especially OEMs
- Support global and regional innovation projects and cross-functional teams
- Connect with global cross-functional teams to expand internal network and share experience
- Lead technical discussions with System Architects and Application Engineering experts
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop documentation and system demonstrators
- Provide applications training to FAEs, Sales, Distributors, and customers
- Present Renesas technologies, products, and applications in technical seminars
