Senior Mechanical Design Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing suspension, steering, and brake components for World Rally Championship cars, from concept to validation, using Catia V5. 7+ years professional motorsport experience required. 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical engineering, or similar background
- Proven professional experience in motorsport with 7+ years experience
- Strong mechanical design background
- Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable) and 2D or 3D GD&T technical drawing experience
- Experience and knowledge of surface design
- Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable)
- Fluency in English
Tasks
- Design mechanical components such as suspension, steering, brakes, and subframes
- Create 3D CAD models and assembly installations using Catia V5
- Produce 2D technical manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Oversee the full lifecycle of mechanical design components from concept to testing and validation
- Conduct validation testing and design necessary test jigs or rigs
- Assist with vehicle and test car builds while resolving technical issues
- Collaborate with suppliers to support manufacturing and optimization
