(Senior) Market Controller Alpine(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in Accounting, Financial Controlling, or Finance within an international organization
- External audit or public accounting experience (advantageous)
- Experience within a Principal Operating Company (POC) model (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting requirements and audit processes
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements (advantageous)
- Experience working with SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English and German or French (minimum C1 level) mandatory
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Structured, solution-oriented working style
- Strong leadership capabilities
Tasks
- Lead local controllership function, including POC with 30+ country ledgers
- Provide financial oversight and governance for Swiss business
- Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting and financial close processes
- Manage accruals and provisions
- Perform account reconciliations
- Handle financial closing and consolidation activities
- Oversee Procure-to-Pay processes, including invoice and payment processing
- Manage travel and expense management
- Handle intercompany transactions and related reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with global, regional, and local policies
- Support standardization and simplification initiatives in Finance
- Prepare quarterly and year-end reporting packages
- Maintain internal control framework and SOX documentation
- Collaborate with Group Controller and global/regional Centers of Excellence
- Act as primary point of contact for internal audits and SOX activities
- Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting requirements
- Manage statutory reporting, tax accounting, and audit processes
- Serve as main point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities
- Coordinate Finance activities between Swiss market and global/region Finance
- Lead and coordinate Shared Service Center teams across R2R, P2P, OTC, statutory accounting, and tax
- Partner with FP&A and Consolidation teams on close planning and reporting
- Collaborate with Group Controller on compliance and governance
- Work with Revenue Assurance teams on revenue activities and controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, Facilities Management, and Internal Audit
- Engage with external auditors and consulting partners
- Interact with tax authorities
