Senior Infrastructure & Facilities Technician – Data Center & Critical Environment(m/w/x)

Description

You will ensure the reliability of critical technical environments by managing complex Data Center infrastructure, from hands-on hardware maintenance to strategic planning and security compliance.

Requirements

• •Technical education in IT, electrotechnics, or equivalent
• •Engineering degree (HES or equivalent) as advantage
• •5+ years experience in comparable environments
• •Experience in Data Center and critical infrastructure
• •Expertise in fiber optic and structured cabling
• •Server and network equipment installation skills
• •Knowledge of electrical fundamentals in IT environments
• •Understanding of network fundamentals (VLAN, IP)
• •Familiarity with Dell, HPE, Cisco, or APC
• •Knowledge of DCIM systems and documentation
• •Awareness of ISO 27001 and EN 50600
• •Autonomy, analytical mindset, and responsibility
• •Fluent French language skills
• •Solid technical English communication skills
• •Ownership mindset
• •Reliability and precision in critical environments

• •Ability to combine operations with strategy

Tasks

• •Install, rack, and cable servers and network equipment
• •Decommission hardware and infrastructure components
• •Perform structured copper and fiber optic cabling
• •Execute hardware upgrades and technical modifications
• •Manage network and power patching in controlled environments
• •Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and asset tracking
• •Coordinate and supervise third-party interventions in secure areas
• •Enforce strict access control and security procedures
• •Contribute to capacity planning and infrastructure scalability
• •Support electrical infrastructure and three-phase power distribution
• •Manage load balancing and UPS redundancy systems
• •Maintain cooling, electrical, and fire detection systems
• •Oversee physical security system maintenance
• •Participate in technical design reviews
• •Plan infrastructure upgrades and budget estimations
• •Conduct risk assessments for critical infrastructure
• •Propose optimization and improvement initiatives
• •Support compliance with ISO 27001 and EN 50600 standards
