Senior Group Director, Safety Development & Processes(m/w/x)
Global safety process design and implementation for GVP, GCP, and medical device domains. 10+ years pharmacovigilance experience required. Leadership of global teams, advanced degree, and PV/business improvement qualifications preferred.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead global line- or matrix- teams
- Advanced degree in relevant discipline or qualified health professional (MD, PharmD, etc.)
- At least 10+ years experience in patient safety/pharmacovigilance (PV)
- Post-graduate qualification in PV (e.g. PV Diploma or MSc)
- Post-graduate qualification in business improvement or innovation (e.g. MBA; Lean Sigma certification) desirable
- Significant business experience in patient safety, pharmacovigilance, clinical development, medical devices, business performance management, strategic business analysis, process management or related disciplines
- Detailed understanding of establishing, sustaining, improving safety/PV activities and adopting innovation
- Analytical thinking for design, implementation, review of complex, cross-functional processes, measures, metrics, KPIs and/or MIS design
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build global collaborations and drive decisions
Tasks
- Provide strategic leadership for global SDP team
- Design and develop safety processes in compliance with GVP, GCP, and Medical Device domains
- Implement and maintain safety processes with continuous improvement
- Foster innovation and anticipate new developments in safety processes
- Coach and empower SDP team members for optimal performance
- Define and articulate vision and strategy for SDP
- Partner with various Pharma functions for business-critical needs
- Ensure SDP supports improved scientific ways of working
- Design and implement effective safety processes
- Represent PDS/PVSD on compliance governance bodies
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding of SDP resources
- Deploy SDP resources across multiple global locations
- Maintain relationships with R&D key stakeholders
- Anticipate future opportunities through internal and external networks
- Contribute to PVSD leadership in scenario planning and budget management
- Facilitate and coordinate safety innovation
- Provide technical and scientific expertise for safety processes
- Support PDS in delivering strategic aims and scientific decision-making
- Ensure PDS maintains high safety and PV system quality
