Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in mechanically actuated aircraft flight control systems development (Part 23, DOA, or equivalent)
  • Strong background in systems engineering for flight controls (requirement capture, functional decomposition, interface definition, traceability)
  • Expertise in design, integration, assembly, testing of mechanical primary flight control systems (kinematics, load transmission, tolerance, friction, free-play, troubleshooting)
  • Proven experience across full product development lifecycle (conceptual architecture, preliminary design, detailed design, verification, validation, certification (Part 23 or Part 25))
  • Solid understanding of airworthiness and certification processes (compliance demonstration, authority interaction)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Additional European languages (asset)
  • Proficiency in PLM and CAD systems
  • Dassault's 3DX platform (plus)
  • Self-driven, solution-oriented professional

Tasks

  • Define primary and secondary flight control systems.
  • Integrate primary and secondary flight control systems.
  • Collaborate with flight physics, structures, and systems.
  • Develop flight control system architecture.
  • Perform preliminary and detailed design.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and partners.
  • Manage system integration.
  • Conduct verification and validation activities.
  • Achieve system and aircraft certification.
  • Ensure robust flight control system integration.
  • Lead technical decision-making.
  • Perform system trade-offs.
  • Mature overall aircraft configuration.
  • Define, derive, and manage flight control requirements.
  • Align requirements with aircraft objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with CS-23 regulations.
  • Perform system-level functional analysis.
  • Conduct functional decomposition.
  • Identify system interfaces.
  • Manage system traceability.
  • Lead detailed definition, development, and integration.
  • Address installation design and kinematics.
  • Address load paths, performance, and reliability.
  • Address maintainability and safety considerations.
  • Oversee suppliers and development partners.
  • Allocate requirements to suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier design reviews.
  • Oversee supplier verification activities.
  • Demonstrate supplier compliance.
  • Support flight control system safety activities.
  • Contribute to Functional Hazard Assessments.
  • Contribute to Preliminary System Safety Assessments.
  • Contribute to Zonal Safety Analysis.
  • Ensure airworthiness and safety standards compliance.
  • Contribute to flight control design implementation.
  • Manage flight control configuration control.
  • Ensure integration with structures and other systems.
  • Support flight control certification process.
  • Prepare and review certification plans.
  • Prepare and review compliance checklists.
  • Prepare and execute qualification documentation.
  • Participate in ground and flight test campaigns.
