Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience including in-house pharmaceutical experience developing compliance programs
  • Degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent)
  • Experience managing people, teams, and dotted-line reports
  • Extensive experience with compliance matters in pharmaceutical product development, approval, and commercialization in Europe
  • Comprehensive knowledge of European healthcare fraud and abuse laws, transparency requirements, and industry codes
  • Ability to apply risk-based analysis to compliance issues and develop creative, flexible solutions
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, communication, and professionalism
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, collaborate, influence, and interact with various teams and senior management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and at least one other language
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to perform in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Appropriate judgment to liaise with Legal and business colleagues and outside counsel
  • Commitment to being a team player with desire to be helpful in other areas of the Compliance department

Tasks

  • Lead development of Healthcare Compliance Programs in Europe
  • Represent Compliance on European Leadership team
  • Collaborate with cross-regions to implement global compliance initiatives
  • Provide compliance oversight for Commercial and Medical activities
  • Develop systems and tools for efficient compliance programs
  • Establish and chair the Compliance Committee in Europe
  • Provide regular compliance reports to various stakeholders
  • Collaborate on internal reviews, risk assessments, and monitoring
  • Support compliance investigations and corrective actions
  • Identify legal and regulatory issues and industry trends
  • Build and manage the European compliance team
  • Advise on new and revised policies and procedures
  • Develop and monitor compliance training programs
  • Foster a culture of compliance and integrity
