Senior Corporate Development Specialist(m/w/x)
Execution of Group M&A transactions, Board Member for EMEA participations at a global reinsurance provider. Investment banking or corporate M&A experience, fluent English and German skills required; insurance M&A preferred. Performance-based variable compensation.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, related field, or MBA (preferred)
- 8-10 years full-time investment banking or corporate M&A experience in financial services
- Strongly preferred experience in insurance/reinsurance M&A
- English fluency (must)
- German fluency (desirable)
- Additional European languages (plus)
- Commercial mindset with strong financial acumen
- Proven ability leading transactions with senior executives, board members, advisors, Swiss Re leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to navigate and build trusting relationships with key stakeholders
- Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Tasks
- Lead Swiss Re Group's M&A transactions with key partners.
- Represent Swiss Re on Boards of existing EMEA Participations.
- Evaluate new opportunities: strategic fit, financial modeling, risk.
- Develop and maintain a strong network for EMEA deal sourcing.
- Create and present decision-ready materials to executive committees.
- Update senior stakeholders on regional M&A and Participations.
- Mentor and develop junior corporate development professionals.
