Senior accountant(m/w/x)

Description

VAT compliance and HFM reporting for a global testing and certification group with 2,600+ offices. Minimum 10 years of international accounting experience in matrix environments required. Collaboration with offshore shared service centers, IFRS standards focus.

Requirements

• •University degree in business, economics, accounting, or equivalent
• •Minimum 10 years' international accounting experience
• •Experience in multi-cultural and matrix environments
• •Mandatory experience with ERP and reporting systems
• •Familiarity with international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS)
• •Fluent English and ideally German skills
• •Strong computer skills, notably Excel Pivot tables
• •Power BI competency as a plus

Tasks

• •Ensure VAT compliance for a complex group
• •Perform quarterly and yearly VAT declarations
• •Assist in reporting month-end results via Hyperion Financial Management
• •Review and post month-end journal entries
• •Manage collaboration with the shared service center
• •Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
• •Prepare financial statements across multiple entities
• •Meet internal and external audit requirements
• •Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts for human resources
• •Develop action plans to address reconciliation issues
• •Prepare statutory accounts for Holdings and small operating entities
• •Adhere to Swiss Code of Obligations standards
• •Manage investment, acquisition, disposal, and financing transactions
• •Record entries for dividends, financial income, and equity changes
• •Compile statutory accounts with multi-branch international consolidation
• •Coordinate income tax compliance with external consultants
• •Support the deployment of Oracle cloud-based solutions
• •Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the finance team
