Requirements
- •PhD degree in Life Sciences or closely related discipline
- •0-4 years post-PhD experience
- •Strong technical and theoretical background in epithelial biology
- •Extensive hands-on experience with complex in vitro systems
- •Experience in lung epithelial barriers or mucosal immunology
- •Scientific accomplishments documented by publications in high-impact journals
- •Ability to present scientific data and concepts effectively
- •Fluency in English
- •Excellent data management and record-keeping skills
- •Ability to interact effectively with people
- •Experience with lab automation

- •Develop advanced in vitro lung models
- •Validate and apply air-liquid interface cultures
- •Create organoids in co-culture with primary immune cells
- •Further develop in vitro models from patient cells
- •Maintain and induce disease phenotypes in models
- •Automate model generation processes
- •Establish quantitative in vitro assays for epithelial functions
- •Evaluate immune cell functions, including mucociliary clearance
- •Oversee genomic and drug screening in lung models
- •Analyze data using statistical methods
- •Present data in a format suitable for publication
- •Collaborate with Research Associates and Scientists
