  • Successful teaching experience in Middle/High School
  • Experience with non-native English speakers

  • Experience as homeroom advisor (asset)

Tasks

  • Encourage and support student learning and enjoyment
  • Teach Sciences to Middle School and/or High School students
  • Possibly serve as a homeroom advisor
  • Promote the school’s mission and vision
  • Assist students in discovering and developing individual strengths
  • Foster lifelong global connections among students
  • Create a caring and inclusive learning environment
  • Prioritize student health and well-being
  • Embody and promote RISE values: Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, Excellence
  • Engage and motivate students of all abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to harmonize lessons
  • Assess students according to school guidelines
  • Enter grades into the online grade book
  • Write school reports and meet completion timelines
  • Use and develop existing resources for Science classes
  • Teach Chemistry in High School as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties
