  • Driving license preferred, driving duties integral

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, team player, resistant to pressure
  • Good sense of humour, belief in positive/respectful relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with students
  • Excellent level of English
  • Experience working with children and young people

  • Professional distance from students, effective caring relationships
  • Understanding and embracing diversity and inclusion
  • Standing against discrimination
  • Background investigations and reference checks for past ten years

Tasks

  • Provide emotional and practical support to students
  • Collaborate with House Parents and Health Centre
  • Foster a positive, inclusive house environment
  • Promote teamwork, respect, and responsibility
  • Encourage student engagement in activities
  • Participate in student activities and excursions
  • Support evening, weekend, and holiday activities
  • Assist with meal supervision and laundry oversight
  • Manage student wake-up and bedtime routines
  • Ensure the house is clean, organized, and safe
  • Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping
  • Contribute to student progress reports
  • Monitor student whereabouts and adherence to schedules
  • Handle missing students, fire drills, and medical emergencies
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and integrity
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds
