Requirements
- Degree in Space or Electronic/Electrical Engineering
- 5 years experience in space business development or sales
- Very good communication, presentation, and elevator-speech skills
- Ability to adapt to counterpart styles and needs
- Self-organization, pro-active attitude, and planning skills
- Comfortable working with evolving boundaries
- Very good networking skills within space organizations
- Fluent English and advantageous French or Italian
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Existing network into ESA or relevant Agencies
Tasks
- Identify business opportunities within the assigned space product portfolio
- Target markets including ESA, PRODEX, and Swiss R&D organizations
- Engage with space mission primes and Thales Alenia Space export markets
- Collaborate with key account managers and product line managers
- Identify and capture new product development opportunities
- Develop and present comprehensive business cases
- Secure development funding from public sectors like ESA or Horizon Europe
- Initiate and oversee the proposal preparation process
- Manage the transition to or act as the proposal capture leader
- Support bid teams through customer interaction and value proposition
- Execute bid milestones and prepare necessary gate data
- Validate pricing information and gate data packages
- Lead bid negotiations through to final contract signature
- Drive business development specifically for radiation monitor packages
