Requirements
- Minimum 8 years corporate real estate, portfolio management, development, transactions, or related field experience
- Solid knowledge of Swiss real estate and construction market
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business Administration, Finance, or comparable discipline
- Solid financial acumen
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
- Ability to evaluate investment and divestment business cases
- Ability to assess risks and returns
- Support fact-based decision-making at management level
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently in evolving, demanding environment
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Confidence interacting at senior management level
- Solid organizational capabilities
- Solid project management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Fluency in German
- Fluency in English
Tasks
- Shape and execute real estate portfolio strategy
- Focus on investment, optimization, and divestment projects
- Manage complex and confidential initiatives
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Public Affairs)
- Collaborate with external consultants, authorities, and transaction partners
- Navigate financial, legal, and operational topics
- Maintain governance and timelines
- Develop and implement corporate and operational real estate strategies
- Align strategies with ABB’s business priorities and long-term objectives
- Lead real estate investments and divestments
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and approval processes
- Adhere to risk management standards
- Manage external advisors and consultants
- Conduct due diligence and property valuation
- Prepare business cases and manage data rooms
- Plan milestones and negotiate contracts
- Interface with local authorities and external stakeholders
- Prepare and present financial analyses
- Create decision papers and management reports
- Ensure transparency and compliance with financial standards
