R&D Laboratory Technician – Food Science(m/w/x)
Developing innovative food concepts and prototypes for Nestlé. Experience with particle size analysis, rheology, and food liquid processing preferred. Flexible working arrangements, dynamic international environment.
Requirements
- CFC Chimie, Physique, or equivalent, or Bachelor HES in Chemistry or Physics
- Ability to conduct experiments, manage data, and work accurately with protocols
- Curiosity and analytical mindset, with diverse problem-solving approaches
- Knowledge in particle size distribution analysis, rheology, tensiometry, foam analysis, dispersion stability (plus)
- Knowledge in Food liquid processing (UHT, homogeneisation), food ingredients (esp. dairy Ingredients, proteins and/or hydrocolloids) (plus)
- Interest in food innovation, prototyping, and culinary experimentation
- Fluency in French and ability to work autonomously in English-speaking environment
Tasks
- Support experimental activities in food research projects
- Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments
- Ensure quality, safety, and data traceability
- Develop innovative food concepts and prototypes
- Organize and document experimental results
- Operate advanced laboratory and pilot-scale equipment
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Support method development
- Contribute to report writing
- Document experimental results in databases
- Manage experimental information
- Support project teams with experimental planning
- Develop and update laboratory instructions
- Create and maintain routine methods and SOPs
- Contribute to food prototype development
- Participate in experimental cooking activities
- Support report preparation under supervision
