- Knowledge in rotor dynamics and Timoshenko models
- Understanding of bearing systems and tribology

- Proficiency in 3D CAD and PDM/PLM systems

- Experience with empirical and analytical flow physics
- Willingness to travel for engine campaigns

Tasks
- Own bearing configuration and life analysis
- Assess rotor dynamic stability and seal performance
- Manage associated development testing
- Maintain top-level turbopump CAD assemblies
- Develop analytical and empirical rotodynamic models
- Map stability and critical speeds using Campbell diagrams
- Refine rotodynamic models based on test data
- Design and validate cryogenic bearing configurations
- Drive rotating system reliability improvements
- Analyze bearing health via test data and hardware inspections
- Develop and analyze dynamic seal concepts
- Validate seal performance, wear, and leakage criteria
- Lead seal and bearing development test campaigns
- Define test instrumentation and oversee execution
- Interpret test campaign data
- Coordinate test setups with facility managers
- Collaborate on turbopump rotor structural investigations
- Lead the release of manufacturing drawings
- Define rotor balancing strategies
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, and external suppliers
- Ensure system reliability and quality standards
- Contribute to design reviews and risk assessments
- Participate in technical decision-making forums
