- PhD or Postdoc in Plant Biology/Agronomy or similar field with Plant Physiology focus
- Strong background in Crop Physiology and/or Plant Nutrition
- Experience in plant physiological studies (CER/glasshouse)
- Advantageous experience with digital plant phenotyping methods
- Advantageous experience with crop nutrition/fertilization management
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, big data analysis knowledge
- Interest and preferably experience in Agronomy
- Team player, effective collaboration skills
- Ability to plan/execute work with little supervision, adaptability, assertive communication
- Fluency in English (written and spoken B2-C1)
Tasks
- Design and perform whole plant physiological studies in CER and glasshouse
- Landscape, test, and implement new crop phenotyping technologies
- Analyze and interpret experimental data
- Present conclusions in detailed reports and presentations
- Collaborate with internal Syngenta functions and external global collaborations
- Network with scientists, research institutes, universities, and scientific societies
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Present at international scientific meetings
