Requirements
- Interest in high-volume production, process automation, control engineering, medical manufacturing
- Knowledge/experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Automation, Digital Manufacturing/I4.0, Factory planning, Logistics, Factory simulation, Injection molding/Polymer technology, Advanced automated assembly/packaging, PLC/SCADA
- Confident presentation skills for project updates, findings, proposals
- Diligent, reliable, target-oriented team player
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Google Sheet)
- Student in Engineering or Applied Sciences (System Engineering, Production Management/Logistics) or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Understanding of injection molding/automated assembly processes
- Prior practical experience in manufacturing/production environment
- Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools is a plus
- Project Management knowledge/experience is a plus
Tasks
- Collaborate with senior engineers on production workflows
- Optimize factory operations and systems
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Streamline processes with Process Automation
- Implement Industry 4.0 solutions for digital manufacturing
- Conduct data analysis using Excel
- Support Operations Engineering projects in Switzerland
- Collaborate with teams in Asia and North America
- Provide technical insights in interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in intercultural team projects
