Requirements
- MD or equivalent with completed medical training relevant to Switzerland
- Board certification or eligibility in relevant specialty preferred
- Demonstrated leadership managing medical or scientific professionals
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Fluent in English
- German and/or French preferred
- Willingness to travel as required
Tasks
- Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports
- Develop and maintain performance objectives and development plans
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings for objective review
- Ensure optimal resource planning and workload allocation
- Contribute to succession planning and talent development
- Support recruitment and onboarding of Medical Affairs professionals
- Lead development and execution of local medical strategies
- Provide medical input into clinical development plans
- Ensure coherence between local and global medical activities
- Monitor progress and initiate corrective actions
- Oversee medical governance for protocols and documents
- Maintain scientific and therapeutic area expertise
- Evaluate clinical data and competitive landscapes
- Review and approve medical information materials
- Disseminate scientific and clinical data accurately
- Provide scientific leadership to healthcare professionals
- Oversee advisory boards and scientific meetings
- Ensure high-quality, compliant scientific support
- Contribute to defining the patient journey
- Partner with Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory teams
- Provide medical input into local business planning
- Contribute to affiliate leadership and management
- Act as primary medical liaison with global teams
- Review and approve key medical documents
- Manage medical operational expenses effectively
- Support continuous process improvement
- Represent the Swiss affiliate in governance committees
Work Experience
- 7 - 10 years
Education
- Vocational certificationOR
- Bachelor's degree
Languages
- English – Fluent
