Mechnical Design Engineer(m/w/x)
Developing and optimizing engineered components for medical devices and advanced manufacturing, performing detailed tolerance analyses. Engineering degree (Medical, Mechanical, Precision) and experienced 3D CAD knowledge essential. Work with modern engineering tools and processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Medical, Mechanical, or Precision Engineering
- Methodological knowledge of design systematics
- Experienced knowledge of 3D CAD programs
- Knowledge of materials science and FEA
- Knowledge of tolerance determination and calculation
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and feasibility
- Knowledge of relevant standards and IEC 60601
- Compliance with design-related quality processes
- Good spoken and written English skills
- Confident handling of common office programs
- Good SAP knowledge
- High technical understanding and communication skills
- Quality-consciousness, trustworthiness, and reliability
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to take technical leadership roles
- Self-motivated, independent, and structured working
- Independent solution development and responsibility assumption
- Willingness to travel to suppliers/production sites
Tasks
- Develop and optimize mechanical designs for medical devices
- Define specific mechanical requirements
- Create and evaluate design concepts
- Develop design specifications and drawing documents
- Perform detailed tolerance analyses
- Create test specifications for quality assurance
- Execute component and device tests
- Document and participate in FMEA meetings
- Build samples and perform first article inspections
- Conduct Design to Cost and Manufacturing analyses
- Review technical drawings and development documents
- Coordinate technical agreements with suppliers and production
- Develop quality assurance test procedures
- Collaborate with purchasing, design assurance, and technical service
- Manage design transfers to series production
- Act as a technical expert for team members
- Participate in synchronization and continuous improvement processes
- Execute cross-sectional tasks like FEM simulations
- Comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Implement quality and occupational safety instructions
