Requirements

  • •Knowledge of mechanical assembly and design principles
  • •Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • •Practical experience in maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • •Basic computer skills for documenting and reporting
  • •Good communication skills
  • •Ability to work effectively in a team
  • •Previous knowledge of vacuum technology
  • •Spoken and written English or French
  • •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
  • •Highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma
  • •Valid driving licence
  • •Exposure to electromagnetic fields under certain exposure conditions

Tasks

  • •Assemble vacuum components and sub-assemblies
  • •Conduct leak detection and quality control before installation
  • •Participate in the installation of vacuum components in the SPS tunnel
  • •Perform pumpdown, leak detection, and commissioning activities
  • •Support logistics and procurement for vacuum chambers and related equipment
  • •Document acceptance tests and interventions for traceability and reporting
