Materials Strategy Lead(m/w/x)
Defining materials management strategies for climate solutions factory operations, establishing PFEP standards and lineback logistics. 8-12+ years in materials management or supply chain strategy required, with lineback logistics and PFEP experience highly desirable. Requirements
- Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred
- 8-12+ years in materials management, supply chain strategy, or factory logistics; highly desirable experience in lineback logistics and PFEP
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred), PFEP tools, and advanced analytics platforms
- Deep understanding of material flow design, inventory optimization, and lean principles
- Ability to drive adoption of standards across multiple factories and functions
- English required; Spanish or Portuguese a plus for Americas coordination
- Strategic and systems thinking with strong execution focus
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical rigor
- Ability to influence without direct authority across regions and functions
- Continuous improvement mindset and digital fluency
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Tasks
- Define and implement materials management strategy for the Americas
- Align materials strategy with the global roadmap
- Design lineback logistics for factory operations
- Establish PFEP (Plan for Every Part) standards
- Develop safety stock strategies
- Create replenishment models for factory operations
- Develop factory replenishment strategies (e.g., pull systems, kanban)
- Deploy advanced materials planning methodologies
- Support digital tool implementation for materials planning and PFEP
- Collaborate with Procurement to align material strategies with supplier capabilities
- Identify material risk points
- Support scenario planning for supply continuity
- Define and monitor inventory policies for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Partner with regional operations, SIOP, and engineering teams
- Ensure material strategies support product lifecycle planning
- Ensure material strategies support capacity planning
