Requirements

• Knowledge or experience in IT auditing or IT systems
• Familiarity with accounting principles
• Professional certifications (CIA, CISA, CFE, CA/CPA) are a plus
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
• Adaptability of style and content to different audiences
• Capability of analysing complex information
• Ability to identify key issues
• Ability to provide clear, concise conclusions

• Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
• Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation
• Experience in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics (or related field)
• Highest educational qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree
• No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract
• University degree required
• No PhD

Tasks

• Perform risk-based internal audits
• Contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal controls
• Prepare clear audit reports
• Follow up on recommendation implementation
• Develop risk-based audit plans for CERN and Pension Fund
• Support Audit Committee meetings
• Collaborate with internal, external stakeholders and External Auditors
• Ensure alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Stay informed on CERN activities and professional developments
