HR Generalist and Finance Accountant(m/w/x)
Personnel administration and financial accounting for Hitachi's Social Innovation Business using Workday. Swiss HR and financial accounting experience required. Onboarding sessions, IT/Facilities coordination, and statutory reporting exposure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- HR administration or operations experience in Switzerland
- Financial accounting and reporting experience in Switzerland
- Strong exposure to statutory reporting
- Strong exposure to audits
- Strong exposure to regulatory environments
- Knowledge of Swiss labor law (advantageous)
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss statutory reporting requirements
- Experience in multi-entity environments
- Experience in multi-currency environments
- Proficient in HR systems
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or comparable)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills

- Experience with SOX/JSOX frameworks (strong asset)

Tasks
- Manage personnel administration using Workday
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Ensure Day 1 readiness with IT and Facilities
- Deliver HR onboarding sessions
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards
- Support daily HR operations
- Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll data
- Interface with external payroll providers
- Answer payroll-related questions
- Collaborate with Total Rewards and HR Business Partners
- Ensure payroll compliance with Swiss laws
- Administer local compensation and benefits programs
- Coordinate with external providers for data handling
- Respond to employee inquiries about benefits and compensation
- Ensure compliance with Swiss labor law and company policies
- Maintain audit-ready HR documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Update and communicate the local employee handbook
- Take ownership of financial accounting and reporting
- Manage month-end closing process
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
- Ensure financial records are accurate and audit-ready
- Prepare statutory financial statements under Swiss GAAP
- Act as main contact for external auditors
- Coordinate with Internal Audit for JSOX compliance
- Manage statutory filings with Swiss authorities
- Monitor changes in Swiss accounting and regulatory requirements
- Support quarterly group consolidation and reporting
- Work closely with Controlling, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Service teams
- Support Swiss tax filings and transfer pricing documentation
- Provide technical accounting guidance
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives
- Ensure strong documentation and knowledge transfer
