Head of UW Transformation & X-Lines Alignment(m/w/x)
Driving process, data, and system harmonization across all business lines for underwriting workbench transformation at a global insurer for mid-sized to large enterprises. Requirements
- Experience in complex cross-lines underwriting workbench program delivery and/or process re-engineering
- Solid understanding of commercial/P&C specialty underwriting lines, geographies, and markets (ideally UW role experience)
- Exceptional all-levels stakeholder management, influencing, and command decision-making skills
- Change management certification or training (ideal), or significant demonstrable experience in leading the people side of change
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management practices (ideal)
- Ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies
Tasks
- Oversee and coordinate Line of Business Owners across all business lines for BMP initiatives.
- Promote a transformative mindset among business owners and sponsors.
- Drive harmonization to enhance process, data, and system efficiency and integrity.
- Maintain strategic oversight of program goals and business benefits.
- Ensure alignment with BMP and BOs' objectives, timelines, and milestones.
- Monitor and report on BMP and BOs' progress.
- Address risks or issues promptly with mitigation strategies.
- Drive harmonization, standardization, and best practices across the program.
- Drive innovation across the program.
- Ensure realistic scoping for a workable MVP.
- Plan phased capability enhancements post-MVP.
- Collaborate with Change Management to lead cross-functional change initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional change initiatives across all business functions.
- Provide Executive Sponsors with transparent and frequent updates.
- Report on program benefits, costs, risks, issues, and progress.
- Ensure UW and Distribution Sponsorship engagement at key times.
- Equip Sponsors with tools for critical change management roles.
- Partner with BMP leadership to review program business cases.
- Review program costs, benefits, and OKRs.
- Ensure post-go-live user adoption.
- Monitor benefit realization post-go-live.
- Proactively manage and monitor RAIDD across the program.
- Align business and technical objectives across governance, compliance, and value realization.
- Represent Sponsor and team needs in governance and leadership meetings.
