Requirements

  • Experience in boarding leadership or residential care
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience managing student wellbeing and conduct
  • Knowledge of NMS or equivalent regulatory standards
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments
  • Experience in senior boarding leadership roles
  • Safeguarding certification
  • Working knowledge of French
  • Calm and balanced leadership style
  • Highly organised and operationally strong
  • Strong interpersonal and parental communication skills
  • Student-centred and community-driven approach
  • Clear decision-maker with strong judgement
  • Resilience and adaptability
  • Commitment to care and accountability

Tasks

  • Lead strategic and operational boarding provision
  • Partner with the Director of Pastoral Care
  • Promote an inclusive boarding culture
  • Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards
  • Serve as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Embed consistent safeguarding practices across houses
  • Maintain rigorous regulatory documentation
  • Oversee student wellbeing and conduct
  • Implement restorative and preventative student strategies
  • Monitor and escalate serious boarding concerns
  • Manage and support house staff performance
  • Coordinate weekend provision and boarding logistics
  • Organize community events and residential experiences
  • Strengthen family relationships through clear communication
  • Drive student retention and community belonging
