Description

As the Head of Algorithmic Trading, you will lead a dynamic team to develop and execute innovative trading strategies while ensuring compliance and risk management in the fast-paced energy markets of CWE and the Nordics.

• •Track record in algo trading and automation
• •Development and optimization of algorithmic trading framework
• •Define roadmap for ongoing improvements
• •Collaboration with quantitative and analysis teams
• •Deep knowledge of CWE and Nordic day-ahead & intraday trading
• •Proficient in Python
• •Skilled in time series analysis and machine learning
• •Solid understanding of European market regulations
• •Strong leadership experience
• •Excellent communication skills
• •Ability to perform in high-pressure trading environment

Tasks

• •Lead the design and execution of algorithmic trading strategies
• •Manage algorithmic trading activities with full P&L responsibility
• •Collaborate with analysts and data scientists for strategy coherence
• •Act as Product Owner for the algorithmic trading framework
• •Define technical specifications with IT and data engineers
• •Drive automation and scalability of trading frameworks
• •Ensure robust testing and real-time monitoring of algorithms
• •Work with compliance and risk teams for regulatory alignment
• •Lead discussions on market regulations and compliance
• •Partner with risk management to implement trading controls
• •Build and manage a high-performing algo trading team
• •Define and execute a strategic roadmap for trading expansion
