Functional Business Analyst, Trading & Origination(m/w/x)
Managing technology, data, and workflow changes for European energy market trading. Master's degree and 3+ years energy trading experience required. Involvement in new product development and strategic business changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years proven work experience in energy trading domain (physical/financial power/gas) in trading house, utility, or energy consulting firm; ideally as Business Analyst or in product management
- In-depth knowledge of front-to-back, end-to-end processes in European energy market trading (financial/physical power/gas)
- Strong understanding of standard and structured energy products
- Project management experience with cross-business stakeholders
- Master's degree
- Strong all-round knowledge of IT and software integration/development
- Highly collaborative and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- Analytic and structured thinking, result-orientation, organization, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- International mindset, determination, resilience, and team spirit
- Full proficiency in English
- Advantageous to have other language skills
Tasks
- Oversee technology changes for Trading & Origination
- Manage systems, interfaces, workflows, and data changes
- Coordinate changes and implementation for existing products
- Ensure accurate deal representation
- Ensure robust end-to-end processing
- Manage product lifecycle activities functionally
- Provide product design inputs for standard products
- Oversee approval processes for standard products
- Manage phase-out processes for standard products
- Support structured products
- Develop expertise in core systems, products, and processes
- Lead Post-Trade Monitoring for new products
- Verify new product implementations post-go-live
- Design a process, KPI, and control framework
- Implement a process, KPI, and control framework
- Monitor new product success, stability, and readiness
- Manage exception management
- Establish structured feedback loops for improvements
