Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Pollutant removal specialist certification (Swiss regulations, SUVA registered)
- Valid "SS3 Technical Management" certification (French regulations)
- Experience in hazardous substance decontamination works
- Civil engineering experience in building/infrastructure maintenance and operation
- Experience coordinating multi-technical trades
- Experience on large-scale industrial/scientific sites (asset)
- Experience in building envelope renovation (asset)
- Experience in concrete and steel structure works (asset)
- Hazardous materials response operations
- Knowledge of building construction, consolidation, renovation
- Contract management
- Organisation, planning, and control skills
- Cost and schedule management
- Initiative and proactivity
- Structured and organised approach to work
- Flexibility and acceptance of new tasks
- Effective negotiation techniques
- Teamwork and active participation
- Spoken and written French
- Commitment to learn English
- Valid driving licence
Tasks
- Contribute to hazardous materials decontamination
- Support civil engineering works at CERN
- Prepare and coordinate interventions
- Ensure safe and compliant operations
- Plan and execute on-site activities
- Manage hazardous materials decontamination activities
- Act as contract manager for decontamination contracts
- Oversee budget, quality, schedule, and safety
- Manage financial variations, claims, and settlements
- Serve as referent for technical galleries and Proton Synchrotron complex
- Collect and prioritize work requests
- Process work requests from users and stakeholders
- Contribute to technical proposals
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation
- Plan and manage work execution
- Coordinate various trades and contracts
- Chair site and coordination meetings
- Monitor cost, quality, schedule, and safety
- Ensure final acceptance of works
- Comply with safety and environmental rules
- Promote a strong safety culture
- Report and document activities regularly
