Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Professional HSE qualification or equivalent certification
- Experience as a supervisor or mentor
- Certified Internal ISO Auditor
- Hands-on technical experience in operations
- Comprehensive HSE experience in manufacturing
- Experience implementing High-Risk Activity standards
- Ability to deliver pragmatic HSE solutions
- Experience developing HSE management documentation
- Experience with Lean or Continuous Improvement
- Fluency in English
Tasks
- Develop Group-level HSE standards and policies
- Align guidelines with ISO standards
- Provide technical HSE support to all divisions
- Oversee a robust PDCA implementation program
- Design safe systems of work for all locations
- Deliver training to ensure local legal compliance
- Align operations with the company's Safety Code
- Manage HSE reporting and data systems
- Drive continuous improvement in daily operations
- Develop risk-based method statements and assessments
- Identify hazards and implement risk reduction measures
- Liaise with clients regarding safety requirements
- Facilitate training for high-risk activities
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Define SMART corrective actions for safety incidents
- Train investigators on applicable methodologies
- Promote safety leadership and coaching
- Challenge unsafe behaviors and recognize safe practices
- Manage the annual budget and financial targets
- Provide development opportunities for the HSE team
