Overseeing global philanthropy strategy and grant operations for health equity and humanitarian aid at a global healthcare company. Extensive experience in governance, due diligence, and risk management for large-scale grant portfolios required. International travel expected.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Medicine, International Development, Non-profit Management, related field, or equivalent senior-level experience
- Significant leadership experience in philanthropy, global health, social impact, international development, or related domains
- Extensive experience in governance, due diligence, compliance, risk management for donations and partnerships
- Proven track record in designing and managing large-scale grant and donation portfolios, partnerships, social impact programmes
- Ability to design clear frameworks, make disciplined investment choices, and lead through complexity and ambiguity
- Experience working across cultures and regions, ideally in complex matrix or multinational context
- Strong strategic and systems thinking
- Ability to balance innovation with governance and risk
- Fluency in written and verbal English
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
Tasks
- Design and deliver social innovation initiatives for health equity.
- Design and deliver humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
- Steer Corporate Philanthropy Strategy delivery.
- Ensure strategic, well-governed, and auditable investments.
- Oversee grant and donation operations.
- Oversee partnership management.
- Oversee program execution across multiple regions.
- Ensure giving programs are impactful and compliant.
- Build a global philanthropy portfolio with internal teams.
- Set strategic direction for innovative initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives generate measurable health and community value.
- Define frameworks for partner selection, funding, and governance.
- Oversee philanthropic investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Deliver SI&S strategy for community giving programs.
- Ensure local relevance and responsiveness for community giving.
- Oversee employee giving, matching, and volunteering programs.
- Set direction for skills-based volunteering initiatives.
- Partner with Impact Measurement to define performance standards.
