Requirements
- Minimum two-year university degree in chemistry, food chemistry, food technology, food science, or chemical engineering/science
- Creativity, innovativeness, above-average sense of taste/smell
- Intuitiveness, innate curiosity, genuine interest in Food/Beverages
- Good technical understanding of chemistry/physical chemistry
- Strong commitment, dedication, resilience, teamwork, multicultural relationship skills
- Fluent English
- International mobility (10 months Switzerland, 14 months home affiliate)
Tasks
- Master on-the-bench flavor creation and design
- Follow Good Creative Practices
- Master the flavoring and non-flavoring Creation Palette
- Understand chemical structures and physicochemical parameters
- Acquire know-how of main flavor applications and processes
- Understand main flavor matrix interaction mechanisms
- Understand flavor science, stability, and ingredient reactivity
- Understand natural chemical and extract production pathways
- Understand main analytical techniques
- Understand manufacturing, analytical, and quality capabilities
- Understand basic research in flavor and food science
- Develop hands-on experience via supervised projects
- Understand market dynamics, key categories, and clients
- Understand practical challenges across applications
- Adopt and use AI-guided tools and IT enablers
- Pass all regular checkpoints
- Complete a final defense after two years
