In this role, you will focus on standardizing component requirements and collaborating with global teams to ensure quality and compliance. Your expertise will guide sourcing decisions and drive innovation in component engineering.

Requirements

• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• •Minimum of 5 years of industry experience or Ph.D. with 2-3 years of experience
• •Preferred experience in the transformer industry
• •Strong background in supplier technology development
• •Advanced knowledge of component engineering and material specifications
• •Proven ability to develop and implement standardized solutions for component usage
• •Familiarity with SAP S/4Hana and Windchill preferred
• •Strong understanding of part qualification processes, quality standards, and practices in component engineering
• •Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• •Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• •Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Tasks

• •Develop and maintain standardized component requirements
• •Collaborate with global engineering teams to unify material specifications
• •Define and drive material standardization for specifications and sizes
• •Clarify global test methods for critical quality parameters
• •Provide technical expertise to the sourcing team for supplier assessment
• •Assist in negotiating technical requirements with suppliers
• •Act as a technical expert in component engineering for project teams
• •Stay updated on advancements in component technologies and materials
